Dr. Chad Flatt
Greetings, my name is Chad Flatt, and I am proud to be entering my third year here at Pickens High School and my first as a school administrator. I came to Pickens after teaching and coaching at Chapel Hill High School in Douglasville, GA for three years. Prior to my stint at Chapel Hill, I was the Head Football Coach and Assistant Athletic Director for Our Lady of Mercy Catholic High School in Fayetteville, GA. I have also taught and coached in Gwinnett County Public Schools at North Gwinnett High School and Shiloh High School. I am originally from Sparta, TN, where I graduated from White County High School. I then went on to attend Maryville College in Maryville, TN where I earned my Bachelor’s of Arts in English. While at Maryville, I was a four-year football letterman and COSIDA Academic All-American as a senior in 2000. In 2005, I completed my Master’s Degree in Education Administration from the University of Phoenix. Finally in 2012, I earned my Doctoral Degree (Ed.D) in Education Administration from the University of Alabama—Roll Tide! Personally, I am married to Kelly Flatt (PHS Special Education Department Chair), and we have four children: Jack, Ruby, Quincy, and Gus. We are honored to be a part of the Pickens community and look forward to building lasting relationships here.
